At 781 metres above sea level, Shelley was once Victoria's highest railway station.
From here, you'll enjoy a spectacular 28 kilometres downhill ride on traffic-free packed gravel rail trail, winding through towering forests, alongside mountain streams, and across impressive multi-level wooden trestle bridges.
Once on the valley floor, the riding is easy and scenic, with another 15 kilometres into Tallangatta, where you can stop for lunch at either a cosy café or a local bakery.
In the afternoon, you will pedal across the iconic Sandy Creek Bridge, stretching over the waters of Lake Hume, before continuing on to Bonegilla, where your ride concludes.
At the end of the day, they will load up the bikes, hop back on the bus, and return you to your accommodation after a truly unforgettable cycling adventure country rail trail.
